The conversations around NIL (Name Image Likeness) standards is nothing new but its stirring controversial conversations at colleges around the country.  The NIL term has taken on new meaning amid the national conversation.  NIL or “name, image and likeness” is broken down into three elements that make up a legal concept known as “right of publicity.” As of right now, most colleges have the rights to all student athletes right to publicity which prohibits them from monetizing on any platform while enrolled and participating in an athletic program. A call to amend these standards is becoming more imperative as social media platforms become increasingly more popular and lucrative among college age adults. To help us understand the importance of listening to college athletes, we invited Celene Funke, to the pod.  She helps us breakdown why NIL standards need to be changed and what that would mean for non-revenue sports moving forward. Please  Enjoy the show!

Did you use baby oil instead of sunscreen? Did you go to the tanning bed to get a "base tan" before spring break? Did you love the St. Ives apricot scrub? If you said yes to any of those you need to push play and take some notes.
Today, Morgan and Alexis from Lumi Skinbar  take all things skin.  The one thing we all had time to do over the past year was look in the mirror.  If you were like us, with less of a need to wear wearing makeup you really started to examine the health of your skin. Yikes! But with so much information, products, tools, and tiktoks out there, where do you start? This is where Morgan and Alexis come in.  They are self proclaimed skin nerds and walk us through the dos & don'ts of skincare in 2021. We learned so much about what we should be doing TODAY to our skin and the one product you should never skip.  Enjoy the show!

The title of this episode says it all. Megan B. Bartley is BACK and she is here to help the zen community look deeper into what is creating a rise in childhood anxiety and what we can start doing today to help our kids.  SPOILER! It most likely can start with you and that is not a bad thing.  As Megan explains, all kids exist within numerous systems and the most important system is the one at home.  Added stress throughout the last year has left many of the nurturers of the household on emotional empty.  Who is nurturing the nurturer? During this episode you might ask yourself a lot of probing questions. What is my parenting temperature? Can I take a step back? Is anyone dying? We think this is a much needed therapy session with Megan to help unlock exactly what the nurturer needs right now.
